If you have lived in Brentwood for more than a couple of years, you know the old rhythm. Breakfast at home, lunch near the office, and if you wanted a proper dinner out you drove to Green Hills or Franklin. The city was a place you slept in, not one you stayed out in.
That rhythm is breaking. Between March and May of 2026, four sit-down concepts opened along the Franklin Road corridor, a fifth is in build-out, and the Crockett Park calendar has stitched Sunday evenings back into the summer. The change is easiest to see if you walk the three shopping centers most residents pass every day: Brentwood Place, CityPark, and Marketplace at Maryland Farms. Each one picked up a distinct piece of the daypart puzzle this year.
Brentwood Place: The Corridor That Grew An Evening
Brentwood Place has spent a decade as a serviceable afternoon errand stop anchored by Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. In 2026 it started keeping the lights on later.
Karrington Rowe opened in the former Brick's Cafe space and brought with it Up Hospitality, the group behind Germantown Cafe and Park Cafe in Sylvan Park. The 130-seat restaurant serves brunch, lunch, and dinner, with a menu that pulls the best dishes from Up Hospitality's other kitchens. Starters run from fried green tomatoes and crab cakes to chorizo-stuffed dates. Entrees include salmon, filet mignon, and a pork chop alongside burgers and chicken sandwiches. The room is the first Brentwood dining space in years that reads as a destination rather than a fallback.
Two doors down, pickleball did the thing pickleball does. Crush Yard has scheduled its ribbon-cutting with the Williamson County Chamber for April 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. The 33,400-square-foot space at 300 Franklin Road will include eight indoor pickleball courts, a full-service restaurant and bar, an arcade, and a private event space. The scale matters. Eight indoor courts pulls league play out of driveway rentals and church gyms and into one calendar, which changes who is in the parking lot at 8 p.m. on a Tuesday.
The third piece is still in build-out. The Raven is a bookstore and bar designed as a literary lounge that blends the feel of a cozy reading room with the social atmosphere of a neighborhood bar. Guests will find a curated selection of books alongside craft cocktails, mocktails, and small plates served in a vintage-inspired setting. The Raven plans to host book clubs, poetry readings, trivia nights, and author events, creating a community-focused space for readers, writers, and anyone who enjoys conversation over a good drink. No opening date has been posted yet, but the space is signed and under construction at the same 300 Franklin Road address.

CityPark: A Coffee Room Worth Sitting In
CityPark Brentwood, the Boyle Investment Company development stretching across 33 acres along Franklin Road near I-65, has spent years filling its 40,000 square feet of retail and dining with the kind of tenants that make a place feel lived-in rather than leased. What it lacked was a coffee shop where you would actually open a laptop.
Silver Fox Coffee Lounge opened its first Williamson County location at 1070 Executive Center Drive this week, with a grand opening event on March 14, 2026. Husband-and-wife owners Todd and Danielle Barnett launched their first location on Music Row in April 2025. The Brentwood outpost came directly from demand: as Barnett told Williamson Source, so many customers from Brentwood and Franklin had been making the drive that a second location was less a business decision than an obvious one.
If you have driven 15 minutes to a Nashville coffee shop this year because the local options were all drive-through, this is the one that ends that habit. Look for the honey lavender latte on the signature list.
Maryland Farms: A Publix Anchor With A Dinner Habit
The northern edge of Brentwood picked up its own upgrade in late 2025 when Jonathan's Grille took the empty Chili's at Marketplace at Maryland Farms. The restaurant will officially open Oct. 1 at 107 Creekside Crossing, formerly occupied by Chili's, inside the bustling Marketplace at Maryland Farms retail center. This expansion marks Jonathan's Grille's 14th restaurant opening and underscores its continued growth across Middle Tennessee and beyond. The new 5,555-square-foot freestanding space will feature Jonathan's signature elevated sports bar experience, complete with an expansive outdoor patio perfect for game-day gatherings and al fresco dining.
The context is what makes the choice interesting. Marketplace at Maryland Farms is a Publix-anchored retail center on the north edge of Brentwood, generating over 1.9 million visits annually. With a strong mix of high-performing tenants and a prime location along Old Hickory Boulevard, the center serves residents of both Davidson and Williamson counties. Nearly two million visits a year is grocery-run traffic, and grocery-run traffic keeps a patio full on weeknights in a way a destination steakhouse never could.
Barbecue, Bagels, And The Rest Of The Menu
Two more openings fill in the corners.
At The Shops at Seven Springs, the third and largest HoneyFire Barbeque Co. location is opening in Brentwood, Tennessee. The restaurant is located at The Shops at Seven Springs and will open on May 7, 2026. Owner Ben Claybaker built the brand at One Bellevue Place in 2018, and the Brentwood room is the biggest of the three. The menu includes smoked pulled pork, brisket sandwiches, chicken wings with house-made sauces, and baby back egg rolls. It also includes sides like queso mac and cheese, bourbon baked beans, and sweet corn pudding. The restaurant also expands the menu, introducing new items like a brisket smash burger, brisket tacos, loaded mac and cheese, and loaded baked potato.
For a shorter stop, in Brentwood, 51st Deli opened a new location in late 2025, expanding beyond its Nashville spots with an all-day menu that includes breakfast burritos and sandwiches, bagels, tacos, burgers, signature sandwiches, coffee, a juice bar, and catering services. And on Ward Circle, Zushirito opened in 2025, bringing a street food–style Asian fusion concept to the former V & V Vietnamese Cuisine space on Ward Circle.
Put those together with the Brentwood Place and CityPark tenants and the Franklin Road corridor now has a coffee room, a bagel counter, two full-service dinner rooms, a barbecue joint, a sushi-adjacent counter, and a pickleball complex with a bar. Two years ago that list was two items long.
Sundays At Crockett Park
The Brentwood Summer Concert Series is the through-line that makes all of this feel like one summer instead of a series of press releases. Summers in Brentwood, Tennessee, have always included Sunday night concerts at Crockett Park. The City of Brentwood is excited to kick off the 2026 season. All concerts start at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted, and the concerts are held in Crockett Park at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater located at 1500 Volunteer Parkway, Brentwood, TN. Various food trucks are at all concert events one hour before the concert begins, so feel free to come early for dinner.
The free concert is part of the city's 37th annual series and ties into Brentwood's America 250 themed programming for 2026.

Brentfest is the one to plan around if you have kids. Food trucks and kids fun zone run 5 to 9 pm, a firetruck spray zone runs 6 to 6:30 pm weather permitting, and dueling pianos precede the headliner. The truck lineup this year included Bradley's Creamery, Blue Monkey Shaved Ice, PHAT PIZZA, Little Cancun On The Go, Smokin' Buttz BBQ, Empanada Lua, IT'Z A Philly Thing, The Snack Barr, and Rhizome Beer Trailer.
After Dark At Dyer Observatory
For the quieter end of the summer calendar, Vanderbilt's observatory sits inside city limits and runs its outdoor music series through the warm months. Bluebird on the Mountain at Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory runs Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 8 pm, with an earlier date on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Bring a blanket, arrive early enough to park, and plan on staying for stargazing once the set ends.
A little further out on Beech Creek Road, Music in the Meadow at Owl's Hill runs on select Saturdays including June 20 at 545 Beech Creek Road South, from 6 pm. Owl's Hill is a nature sanctuary rather than a bar with a stage, which is exactly the appeal.
What This Adds Up To
The individual openings are easy to read as noise. Put them on a map and a pattern shows up. Three shopping centers within a four-mile stretch of Franklin Road each picked up a piece of the day that Brentwood used to outsource. Morning coffee at CityPark. Weekday lunch at 51st Deli or Karrington Rowe. Weeknight dinner and a patio at Jonathan's Grille or HoneyFire. A Sunday concert at Crockett Park. A late set at Dyer Observatory. And a pickleball night at Crush Yard for the hours in between.
If you have been telling out-of-town guests that the good stuff is in Nashville, it is a reasonable summer to update the answer.
